Higher Density Living Podcast

Nov 24, 2023

This episode is dedicated to the Grim Reaper, usually associated with negative connotations. It evokes bad emotions, the idea of death, and negative energy. In the tapestry of human existence, few symbols provoke as much fascination, fear, and contemplation as the Grim Reaper—the timeless harbinger of death. The Grim Reaper, with its haunting presence and rich symbolism, remains an enduring figure that transcends time and culture. Instead of merely instilling fear, it beckons us to explore the profound mysteries of life and death, encouraging a deeper understanding of our own existence. By confronting the Grim Reaper, we may find not only the inevitability of our demise but also a gateway to a more profound appreciation for the beauty and transience of the human experience.

The iconic scythe carried by the Grim Reaper is not just a tool of death but a symbol laden with meaning. In agricultural societies, the scythe represents the harvest—the cutting down of ripened crops as they reach the end of their life cycle. This dual symbolism connects death not only to the cessation of life but also to the cyclical nature of existence. Death becomes a transition, a necessary part of the eternal cycle of birth, growth, decay, and rebirth.

Beyond its macabre exterior, the Grim Reaper holds profound symbolism that transcends the mortal realm, inviting us to explore the depths of our own mortality and the mysteries that lie beyond. Beyond the mortal absence of life, there is one part of death that you can control: the point of transition after death. When you die, you are reaped by transcendence. It essentially takes everything you have done in life—be it experiences, actions, thoughts, and emotions—into consideration and evolves as you travel beyond the afterlife until your spirit becomes reincarnated in fresh, new life.

Focusing on your death and welcoming the grim reap every day in a positive sense is actually a tremendously beneficial tool for us as human beings.

Alexander and Jason discuss the true meaning of Death through the concept of Death Rows. Death Rows are a specific phenomenon of someone fading in and falling out at a conscious level of where they are here in the material. The body is literally failing and they are about to transition into the otherworldly realm through the process of dying.

Those who have thought about their death or reconciled things with life find forgiveness in certain factors—not through any god or religion, but forgiveness of themselves or people around them. Transitions are more gentle, more seamless, more authentic, and genuine to the heart. They're more welcoming of this other state they're moving into, as they've thought about it enough where it's no longer agitated in a state of fear. It's like seeing the death row of an individual. In states of fear, the eyes are open, they're wide, they're shocked, they're not ready for it, and so much of the life that hasn't been reconciled collapses down into one moment.

When you don't think about your death, you don't consider it. You don't consider that transition, the essence of time. You don't consider your mortality, as it is ignored. Very valuable things in your life happen to become compressed down at the moment of you leaving this planet. The interesting part about death is YOU are the grim reaper of your own life. You reap what life has sowed in you.

Despite its fearsome reputation, the Grim Reaper can be seen as a metaphorical guide, urging us to confront our deepest fears and anxieties about death. By acknowledging the inevitability of our own mortality, we can learn to appreciate life more fully, savoring every moment and cultivating a deeper understanding of what it means to exist.

We all have this weird thought that we have longevity in our lives. Well, the truth is we don't really know what is in store for us. Our life is just a borrowed vessel. As we close this episode, we need to embrace and welcome the Grim Reaper as a friend. Don't think about it in a negative sense but think about it as the most natural thing you're going to do, just like being born. And you are reborn in the afterlife, the higher state of existence.
